So the TV season ended and everyone waited anxiously for release of schedules from all the different channels. Waiting to see what the fates were for they’re favorite shows, and while the release usually brings heartbreak and sometimes joy, this time for one particular show it was pretty tense. And that show was ‘Chuck’, maybe I was the only one who was extremely tense about Chuck’s future but I doubt it. Chuck for the last season has been a very odd show, not in terms of storyline but rather in terms of content, for me personally the writers took a very different line of content for the last season, the show tended to drag for many episodes, and most of the stories where usually one hit story’s. The relationship between the characters at one point seemed at a standstill until the last few episodes. All in all, the entertainment value of Chuck was by many people’s opinions stained to say the very least.
So whats next for Chuck? I as a follower of Chuck would never hope for the show to die but unfortunately it seems that Chuck is on a short lifeline, in terms of existence. Renewed for only 13 more episodes, it is clear that writers have to produce content that is near miraculous for this show to survive. But all is not lost, the always feared Friday night death slot may produce an opportunity for the show, even though the slot that chuck has been placed in is usually a sign of on coming death, it gives the show the opportunity to find the most loyal of fans. With ratings normally being low for shows in Chucks current position, it has a lot to gain. With shows like Fringe, Shark tank, and supernatural to open for. Chuck may actually gain new fans, and retain its ability to stay on the Air. And so what if it stays on the Friday night death slot for the rest of its lifetime, hey we have nothing better to do on Friday nights anyway right? lol but in conclusion the fate of Chuck will be seen when the fall TV season rolls around, till then the loyal fans can keep praying and haters can keep hating.
Till next time ‘Keep watching’
